Adult Level Class Information

• Level 1 Class: This class is offered to adults who have no or limited prior knowledge of Samskritam. By default, all NEW students are expected to register into Level 1 classes. Only few exceptions are considered on a case by case basis after evaluating their samskritam speaking skills.

 

• Level 2, 3, 4 and 5 Classes: These classes are offered to returning students (adults) who have previously attended Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes conducted by Samskrita Bharati.

• Students intending to register for Level 3, 4 and 5 classes will need to ensure that they have sufficient proficiency on the concepts covered in the previous levels. This will be necessary to absorb the advanced concepts and instruction on par with other students. If you need guidance on selecting the advanced classes, please check with your current instructor prior to registering.

 

• Adult Lipi Class: This is an optional class offered free of cost, only to the students who registered for regular Samskritam class (Level 1 to 2).  This class will help gain knowledge of the Devanagari lipi (Samskritam script).  Please note that knowledge of Devanagari Lipi is NOT expected for L1 classes but starting L2 classes, it is mandatory.  So, it is best to get started early  so that you are ready when you get to L2 class. If you are interested in only lipi (dēvanāgarī), then please follow the link for 'bhUmikaa' classes through Distance Learning Program (DLP)

Children Level Class Information

• Children class level depends on two factors.  (a) the Public school grade that the child is attending and (b) number of years that the child studied Samskritam at SB Samskrita Kendram.
